Ingredients:

1 stick (1/2 c.) butter, softened

1 block (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1/2 c. vegetable shortening

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 tsp. salt

2 lbs. powdered sugar

 

Instructions:

1. Cream together butter, cream cheese, and shortening until smooth. Add vanilla and salt.

2. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat at low speed until smooth and creamy. (Can add a little milk if too thick, or more sugar if too thin.)

 

(Add 1/2-3/4 c. cocoa powder for chocolate cream cheese icing. Yummy!)
