Ingredients:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened

1 c. sugar

2 eggs

2 c. flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1 c. mashed bananas (about 3)

1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cream together butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas. Fold in nuts, if desired.

4. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 55-60 minutes. Cool before slicing.
