Ingredients:

Cake:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix

1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding mix

4 eggs

1/2 c. water

1/2 c. vegetable oil

3 tbsp. amaretto liqueur

1 tsp. almond extract

Glaze:

3/4 c. amaretto liqueur, divided

2 c. powdered sugar, divided

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, pudding mix, water, oil, amaretto, and almond extract.

3. Pour batter into greased and floured 10" Bundt pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

4. When cake is still warm, poke holes half-way down with a large fork or handle of a wooden spoon (still in pan).

5. For glaze, mix together 1/2 c. amaretto and 1 c. powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Pour half of this mixture over the cake still in the pan. Let soak in for 5-10 minutes.

6. Turn out cake onto plate or cake board. Poke holes in top of the cake. Pour remaining glaze over the cake and let soak in.

7. Mix together remaining 1/4 c. amaretto and 1 c. powdered sugar. This will make a slightly thicker glaze. Pour this over the top of the cake and let some drizzle down the sides.
